I'm sure Peter will correct me if I'm wrong here but resistor plugs are mainly used for radio noise suppression. If your car is running normal plugs and you have white noise on the speakers... switching to resistor plugs can help.
What type of plug wires did you buy for an E12 that has to have a resistor plug?
