Generally the flat one goes with the 5speeds. HOWEVER! Which you use has more to do with the front of the drive shaft you're going to use. If you're going to use the old 4sp driveshaft, you may have to use the ribbed guibo. This is because the front of the shaft, the part that slides onto the transmission shaft, is sized to the guibo. The E-3 list had a discussion about this last week, I think.

So the suggestion is that you take the front of the driveshaft and put it in postion, and see how much room you have between the driveshaft bolt holes and the tranny bolt holes. If the gap is wider than the flat guibo, you'll have to use the ribbed guibo.

If the 5SP came with a driveshaft, use that one and whichever guibo came with it.
