I know you can use your existing tranny (if it's a 5 speed).
You may need to create some custom motor mounts.
Sorry, not sure what else needs modifying.
The benefit is, there are more options for upgrading on newer engines, such as a chip, cams etc... Engine upgrades are more readily available.
