Took my Mini Cooper S into service today @ Rasmussen's in Portland. While they were doing the warranty service I thought I'd walk around...
Saw lots of nice older BMW's within 2-4 block radius of the dealership, and one was a very pretty white 1981 528i w/black 320i bucket seats. Very well kept, straight clean, no rust.
Also spotted a rough E3 Bavaria, 87' 325is, a half dozen new mini's and a very nice 5 older 528e.
Oh, my mini's brakes where toast... seems they thought I boiled the fluid at least once (I wonder how?). A caliper was leaking brake fluid on the drivers side wheel, pads where cracked and the dust boots where pushed out of the calipers. Also the radiator overflow tank was leaking (a common problem). They recomended I get upgraded brakes for my driving style.......
This car has only 6.5K miles on it.
Maybe I drive it too hard?
