Hi All!
First of all, i would like to apologize for the late response. Have been busy at work.
I know that '89 to '93 is a readily motor for my '77 530i. Bolting it on is not a problem, but i think it will need a lot of modification in order for me to convert my car to an '89 to '93 model.
I was making some calls and i happened to came across Bavarian Auto Recycling in Sacramento. I was advised by them that bolting it in is not a problem at all. But, will encounter difficulties in installing the other component kits like flywheel, distributor cap and rotors, and not to mention wiring harnesses and tranny.
Anyway, he suggested a 1986 735i motor that will just bolt right on and I can still use the other components from my '77 530i. This will save me a bundle$$$. Compression reads 155 to 160. So, i bought the motor.
This is all what i'm after right now. I'm in a tight budget situation, and i think i got a good deal. there's even a 6 months warranty on the motor.
What do you think, did i get a good deal? Let me know.
Again, thank you all for your responses to my inquiry.
I really appreciate it, you all be updated on the conversion.
P.S. For sure i will be having some questions in the future. I hope you'll be available to help me then.
Regards to all,
Tito
