Since the car seems to be running so good lets look at the simple things. When a bearing goes in an alternator or a/c compressor it can sound a bit like marbles rolling around in a can. One way to check this stuff is to pull the belts and roll the pullys by hand. If a bearing is in good shape you should hear almost nothing and feel only slight drag and resistance. if you hear that rolling sound you have a problem.
Now another way to check the a/c compressor would be to turn it on. When its not on the clutch is electronically disengaged and only the outer part of the pully turns. When you engage it, the clutch electronically locks up and the inner part turns with it. Now when you first kick it on the engine will bog down a bit but then should retun to its previous rpm mostly. What I would hope to hear is some significant change in the noise, either louder or quieter due to you loading the bearing up. Try these simple things and keep your foot out of the gas until you know for sure. It could be the tensioner still so caution is the watch word. Still haven't said if you have the book? Matty
