I have a 1977 530I, 5 sp, Lambda, 3 into 1 manifolds Fresh motor.
I also have a 1984 533I with motronic. I'm going to part the 533I out.
Here's my thought. I'm thinking about rebuilding the 3.3 and installing it with the motronic in the 530. During the rebuild I would like to use the highest compression head. I have a 1981 head, 1984 head, and a AMC head.
My First 5 question: Which head would you use?
My next First 5 question: Is there a volume difference from year to year?
And my last First 5 question: Considering my 3.0 is fresh, and I did the Lambda swap would I feel any real seat of the pants performance gain?
