The trick is knowing the headliner has plastic pegs holding it in up front.
Open the roof enough to get your fingers over the front edge of the liner ( 4 to 6 inches) and pull down. Usually about an inch or so will pop one or two, to give you the idea and let you see (feel) how many there are.
Once the front of the liner is free, it will slide back ( jiggle, etc.) to access all the hardware.
Taking things apart is fairly common sense, but help is available in Haynes or Chilton's.
