My 80 528i would run good when I first started it up but then would miss up until 2,000 rpm. I checked all the hoses, put in new plugs, etc. Last week I put on new 8mm spark plug wires, which was the second set I had put on. The new wires solved the problem and now it idles and runs better than ever. What a joy to drive with it running on all six and having much more power in low and high end.
