To recap...
Lee Cornett and I have been looking for our own M535 front spoilers independently. It has almost become competition to see who can get one first. He located two in Europe and each time, for different reasons, it didn't make it over the blue water. I contacted a guy in Belgium who found one along with a rear euro bumper and some misc stuff. It was packed on a container and made it to NJ. The Importer called and told me the misc parts box made it to Northern VA but no bumper or spoiler. They got lost in NJ. So the quest goes on...
I called the dealer again just to see the price for a new set, spoiler and rear bumper. Spoiler was going to be $425 after my CCA discount and the bumper was going to run about $1K. The problem was, the dealer said they couldn't get the extra trim and brackets for the spoiler. Then I called Maximillian. $695 for the spoiler, minus the turn signals, which I have already, and the left mounting bracket which is NLA. The rear bumper complete with all bolts is $650. They waved the shipping to my house. I should have them in three weeks.
The main reason for posting all this is to inform those looking for this setup of the availability of the parts. According to the dealer, There are 65 M535 front spoilers left and they are only in Germany. Well 64 left now I hope. The main rear bumper will always be around but the extra mounting parts which will be very hard to fabricate are going away. All of the E12 stuff is getting liquidated. They are not making any more parts for the E12 that are specific to our cars. If it doesn't cross reference, it may be NLA. This is according to my local dealer.
As for my missing parts, if they do show up, I will offer them on the board or put them on EBay. Then again, Jimmy Hoffa is still missing.
I can't get the car painted until I fit the two pieces on the car.
