The mounting arms on the sunroof have plastic "feet" that ride in the shiny rail to hold everything in place. If the feet aren't there, the panel will bounce. What you are hearing is the metal bracket on the front of the panel bouncing in the slot of the sunroof rails.

Note: There are a total of 4 plastic feet. Two are on the front panel brackets and two are on the rain tray that is riveted to the fabric panel. If you don't have them, you may experience leakage from the panel.
