The little sticker under the hood says to match the CO content with the sensor unplugged and plugged. I read the mixture (not sure if that is the same) with the sensor plugged between .2 and .7 jumping like it is supposed to. Then when it is unplugged the IDLE RAISES and the reading goes up to .9??? I opened the mixture screw all the way and can't get it to lean out with the sensor unplugged.

What could all of it mean?

Thanks for you alls help

: There aren't too many possiblities.

: 1) Check that the AFM vane is working OK. Push it with your finger and let return slowly. If it hangs up anywere you need an AFM. (Do not let the vane slam shut! This can break the little microswitch that activates the fuel pump.)

: 2) Next time the idle is low, pull the hose off the aux air valve (on the coolant pipe under the plenum), and plug the hole. See if the idle changes.

: 3) Ditto for the aux. air. valve on the valve cover.

: 4) Next time the idle the low, unplug the O2 sensor and see if it improves.

: Anyone else?
