Donna,
Do you know to prop the AFM open with ignition switch on? That should make the pump run and if it doesn't than you should be able to trace it.
Pump will not run unless AFM door is open (safety feature in case engine stalls after accident).

: What would make a fuel pump stop running? The car has been on blocks not running for 7 months. I get to the point where I want to turn it over, it did once, like it was "holding back" and now it doesn't have any power running to it. I've checked the fuse, it's good. But the starting relay doesn't have power running to it either. What have I done? New coil, plugs, cap and rotor, points too. Have I done something that broke the connection to these items. Where should I look first? I even ran a wire from the poss. battery post to the fuel pump. Could I have burnt something up by doing that? All I want to do is get this baby runnin' seems like it's ALWAYS something.. :( Help!! Please! Oh yeh, one more thing.. when I put a test light from the the poss. battery to the Enegine Temp sender, the light only goes on partially (dim). Why is that?
