I ask for 'future-proofing' reasons. I d/l all FAQs, even if it hasn't broken (yet). Also making a list of what bits on my 12er are E12 and what are E28 (i.e., the bits that're _in_compatible).
How's the (resprayed) Bav and did you get the 7 Series started?
