I'm back with a few more question bfore I purchase that 530i (It's a '78, not a '76 as staed earlier).
It's now running but rough, sounds like 5 of 6 a firing. Exhaust is rich. I beleive it's plugged injectors and somone has messed with th air flow sensor. Also, what are the warnings in the little pod on the center of the dash about. One say ECR something and I cannot read the other. I was told it would be about $400cdn for a mechanic to replace the injectors. I took the car for a drive, and it runs rough to about 3500 and then comes to life, she also give an almost backfire when I back of the gas. Am I getting into a money pit or is there an easy fix a backyrd mechanic (like myself) can do. Again, I thank all of you for your answers and if I do purchase this 530, I will post pics and get to next years 5er fest.
