Get one, great first car.
My has been crashed so ....i only have a working engine, and smashed up shell. :(
They are quite cheap in the trading post..good place to start.
Great engine go for miles and miles....dont be put off buy odometers that read upto 250,000klms.
But as always aim lower ks....but then again..i would prefer regular oil changes.
They are also very safe considering the age of the car..which is a benifit as a new driver.
I could right a list a mile long on what to look for, but it is really the same for any car.
Good service record
No smoke
No overheating
Transmission should shift smothly.
No funny noises
White sludge on the oil cap avoid
and general Roadworthyness.
Tyres
Wipers
Rust
lights
Brakes/rotors
windscreen
seatbelts frayed
you will find there is going to be something that has to be doen to a car of this age, so it is just the case of getting one with a good motor and body ...and the rest you can just get back up to specs..like brakes and tyres.
Hope i could help.
