While ripping apart the rear suspension on my car to put new bushings in, I discovered that the CV boot nearest the diff on the passenger side was torn. It was also being held on by a plastic zip tie. Don't we all wish we could have cared for our E12's from day one?
I called Matt at Maximillion with the part # from the parts ETK, but he said that the part I had given him was actually for some RED CV boots that some of the euro cars had on them. He specifically said E12 M535i's and 635csi's. The red ones as far as he can tell are the same except for the color and price. They are $54 for the kit but the black ones are $14.95.

My car has the black ones on it, but I'm not sure if they are original to the car. I ordered the black kit needless to say. Does anyone else have red CV boots on their E12 or have you heard of this?
