I am thinking of buying the eng and trans from an early eighties euro 735i. This is the M30 with individual intake runners. This is intended for a transplant into an E12 or E21 with the Megasquirt EFI setup as a possibility. Are there any physical differences between the US and Euro engines as far as bore, stroke, valvetrain, ignition, etc. What standard trans would this have? I have no idea if it is a four or five speed. Also, Is the 3.5 a good choice versus the 3.3? What might one expect to pay for this? Are the 320i intake runners recommended as this is to be a low-speed performance vehicle? Thanks for any input. Tim
