as this specifically an E12 5-series board. I do have a little experience with the E30 body, so I'll take a shot...
The injection system is different (Motronic vs. L-Jet). A quick search of the BavAuto website shows several relays for your car, most notably a fuel pump relay, and something called a "main" relay. I can't seem to find my E30 repair manual, so I would suggest posting a query on the E30 message board at roadfly.com
