I've purchased three E30's in the last 6 months
1988 M3, a 1989 325is and a 1991 318is.
before that time I never owned a e30
I paid 6k for the M3, 3k for the 325is and $1500 for the 91 318is w/220k miles
I liked the 318is the best for a couple of reasons
1)Like my m3 the car has great balance
2)I was able to locate a used engine, complete, out of a 1994 with 65k miles for $450
3)a supercharged 1991 318is will produce 200+ hp
for about 1/3 the cost of a nice e30 M3 or 6k candian
btw what does 6k candian = in USD ?
