I have been running 87 octane for the past monthtill summer is over then it is back to 92! I am porbably moving the disributor less then a millimeter honestly, and my car has about 200K on it, but with a fresh rebuild like 10K ago if that, and my disributor is from a new 78 530i and i really odnt know how many is on that poor thing.. MY #1 concern is... is the pinging dangourus? even if it is soo little, porbably due to low fuel octane?
