Discs from an '82 733i are the same as the M535i discs. They are the same diameter, but they are thicker and can therefore dissipate more heat. You will need to disassemble the calipers and insert a new spacer that is 3mm thicker than the spacer that is in there.
Other than that, there are no easy brake upgrades for the E12. And, it doesn't really need them. They are quite good as is. If you were build a "full on" race car, you might want to do something, but for anything else, they're pretty good.
