is the main interface to the heater, defroster, heater and ashtray lights and clock. It has power, ground for all those functions. The key for you is to trace the gn/bn wire and unplug it where you can. Where it goes through the firewall it's headed to the heater blower motor. On factory air it would go through the heat/AC relay but on yours it's a straight run (as it would appear).
I think you are going to have to unplug the heater connector (C36)
