Hi

I have done my upgrade for my brakes. It was solid disc before with 272mm diameter. So I follow the advise from the board and I get disc and callipers from E23 733i it was 280mm x 20mm.

The first thing was I recognize, my old caliper has 2 input pipe , but the E23 only one.

the second I put the calliper on the strut, and I measured the possible diameter of the disc size and it was 272mm.

the third was the bearing didnt fit in the "head", the inside diameter was bigger.

So what I done

I remove the E23 disc 8mm so now it is 272mm (be carefull with latheing it spark like Xmas)

I remove the bearings from the E23 "head" and put my E12 bearings.

I opened the caliper and I put the E23 caliper spacer in the E12.

It works fine. only I cant install new breakpads with 10mm only a little used oned 8mm.

I think I will make a thicker spacer later...

have a nice weekend.
