a few M6/M635 cars made. The worldwide numbers were 5855 cars produced, with 1767 of those coming to the US. Overbadging is a common "try-hard" symptom, but the car could be real, if the slashes are not there. Since you appear to be in Australia, at least the M635 would be right for your location. All of the 1767 cars that were imported by BMW to the US were all M6 badges. Two defining points. NO M cars were produced with automatics throughout the 5855 cars, and if you can see under the hood, the engine is distinctive with the BMW M Power logo between the twin cam housing atop the engine, and the 6 throttle bodies.
