You will love the shifting. Take your time, get new, quality parts for the conversion and enjoy the shifting. A shortshifter should be on your list as well. Skimping on internal parts like getting a discount clutch set and things could make for a bad future. This is one job you want to do every 100K, not every 20K. If you can't get the 3.5L, just change the rearend like I did. It's a bunch of fun.
