Cold makes grease very thick, no work. Period.
My '79 528i has the same problems with central locks. Cold, only trunk works, Warm, they all work. It only gets to about the same here. In the spring I shall take the door skins off and clean all moving mechanisms and apply some white lithium grease, but until then, too cold.
