All,
Getting ready to get under the 76 and pull the last few bolts out of the trans and drop it. Im actually hoping to remove it vise drop it so that leads to my first question, how much does the bugger weigh? I have the car on stands and dont know what IO need to rig or if I need to rig anything to get it down in one piece.
Second, The reason I pulling it is because I have an oil leak from an unusual spot. I initially thought it was the shift rod seal but it actually is coming from what appears to be one of 3 "freeze plug" style housing plugs located above the output shaft. Anyone see this as a problem before and know what is gonna pop out if I have to pull the plug? I can't find my ETK CD since I moved so I would appreciate any help you can give me.
