When I bought my 77, the PO had recently installed a Bosal exhaust (the lower priced alternative). The two common complaints on Bosal have been durability and noise level.
I just want to say that for a less expensive system, do not overlook Bosal. My experience has been good, going on 4 years with no problems and not noisy at all. A tiny bit throatier. However, I have found that often the systems that are noisy, regardless of the exhaust manufacturer, have been because the tail pipes ended slightly before, or directly under the bumper. They must be even with the back or slightly beyond to avoid sound in the car.
