Semi-OT: Need electrical system advice (long)

Hi all,

Technically this relates to my 2002, so hopefully Troy won't nail me for being OT - I just know we've got some good electrical system folks here.

My '70 2002 has an electric fuel pump added by PO. It's wired through the blinker/radio/brake/hazard light circuit, which concerns me...8 amp fuse only.

I'm thinking I need to re-wire it, most likely to the circuit that powers the coil. Is there any reason why this is a bad idea? What else should I be concerned about?

I got in the E12 today for the first time in a week (been walking to work). This car just continues to impress me. I can't wait to get the 3.5L in the car in a couple of months. Hopefully, two cousins and I can accomplish it in a week of evenings plus a weekend.
