why couldnt you just give it its own power w/its own fuse? that way if a fuse blows, you wont have to figue out what caused it. there might be an extra slot in the fuse box, or you could put in an inline fuse. Is there a relay for the pump? make sure the wire rating exceeds your amps. you do not want to catch on fire. I have had two cars catch on fire...not fun. Well its fun for everyone who was watching me run around, screeching in a high pitched voice.."help...my cars on fire..." lucky for me no big boom.
