I'd like to switch it so that it only runs when the ignition is on. There are no spare slots in the fuse box - it only has six fuses.

Inline fuse is a good idea. And I'd be glad to power it directly if I could figure out the swithcing. I do have a toggle cutoff in the car for it.

As near as I can tell, there's no relay. One wire to ground, another wire that's spliced into the blinker circuit via the hazard switch - everytime you turn on the hazards, it inactivates the fuel pump, car dies. Fun.

Thanks for tip, I may try to figure out something along those lines.
