The only circuit that will supply power only when the engine is running is the fuel pump circuit. You cannot wire the aux fan directly to the fuel pump though. The aux fan draws a lot of current and will overload the circuit.

You can use the circuit if you add a relay. Use the green/brown wire on the aux fan temp switch for the power to the relay. Wire the relay coil to pin 88D of the combo relay.

Better yet why not just fix what you have? Did you try swapping out the aux fan relay? Did you check fuse 17 and 14? Fuse 17 should have power all the time and fuse 14 is hot with the key on. With the key on is there power to the green/brown wire on the aux fan switch?

Check these things and let me know.
