I spent all day Sunday playing with the windshield rustout. I made the vertical piece an almost perfect patch but in doing so ate up a huge amount of time. The horizontal portion of the corner is way to complicated and will be little pieces covered with .125" of chopped fiberglass filler and glazing.
I wish I had held out for a decent corner piece off donor car. I was pessimistic about finding a clean one until I got mine apart and found for the most part my channel was clean.
Car is covered right now; not sure when next window (pun intended) will open up for me to finish lower patch and get it skimmed.
