Too many other toys -- my wife would have killed me. Seriously considered getting it as a parts car. The cylinder head with cam and the headers are worth something. The wheels are kind of neat. Some old suspension components - maybe salvagable. Other than that it's a junkyard car.
Fast car, just neglected and abused - more to restore it than it's worth. If I had a line on a pristine body with blown motor - THEN I would have nabbed it. Quinton's 528i was already sold by then, and my wife's attitude about keeping a donor car around while waiting for a complementary donor just doesn't fly (anymore).
I have a hot-rod motor already, an '85 ported and polished, cam, racing pistons, Dinan chip, GOBS more torque and just as much top end as Thomas' - so I don't need it for the motor, but I do like the wheels.
