I just got a "new" 1975 520 automatic. Have rebuilt the M10 engine and added L-jetronic fuel injection from a E28. When I startet the engine and let it run until it was warm, there was some "squeeking" noises from somwhere in the engine room. After I stopped it, there was some smoke that seems to come frome the automatic gearbox. The gear was in "park", but the gear did not affect the sound. Can anyone tell me what can be the cause for this? I suspect the gearbox, can the clutch/converter cause this?
