Well, I was going to keep quiet until it was actually paid for and in my garage, but since Wietse mentioned it -- Yes! I bought his '75 e12! And I'm excited!
I will strive to live up the quality of work that has been invested in this car. Of course I won't have a lot of opportunity, Wietse has created what is essentially a new 1975 530i. All those parts I've been hoarding will continue to gather dust, because I can't imagine what I would need to replace -- it's all new!
I will just have to devote my energy to other projects, like converting my CS to L-jet and Megasquirt. And maybe a turbo. Or two.
