Here's my 1979 528i
It was used by a Huston business man and has entire maintenance records from day one to present. The guy only used it to jolt down the highway for work.
He then bought a new one and this sat in TX for 6-7 years, it was then bought by a friend (a PPG Rep) who had it painted and shipped via semi to WA, where it sat for another year and then I bought (1996 w/79,000 mi on it, and completely re-wired)Drove itthere for 6 mos. and drove back to IN when I moved back.
I figured with it's age It may not be any good when I got it home. For $3,500 I realy didn't care. Little did I know about BMWs then. I drove it from WY to SD at an average speed of 105 MPH. Made it from WA to IN in 3 days. Been driving it as a everyday car since.
