Please Educate me on how, why, what is the function of this sensor-thermo valve part# 1174 1 2604 132. It is connected to a vacuum that starts on the air intake then it goes to the Thermo Valve and from there it goes to the Distributor. I'm assuming it's the retard for the Distributor the higher the revs. the higher the vacuum power to "retard the distributor". (I broke it yesterday). . I broke one of the entrances to connect one of the air vacuum entrances. . I'm driving the car and it's just fine; this morning it started without much hesitation at all and I just went ahead and joined the vacuum hose bypassing the thermo valve.
I see or hear no difference in performance.
