I haven't but I have heard of it. Actually I have on E23's and E28's but never on E12's myself. But if you are in Denver, you want a good heater and putting in a 25-30 year old heater core isn't going to work nearly as well as a new one. It's a little radiator and after all that time it's going to have deposits on the inside. Plus with a new one you don't have to worry about having to do it again. I'd just bite the bullet on this one if I were you.
