I swaped a 75 auto out for the 5spd OD in my car, and left the higher stock diff in for the swap. I think it is 3.65vs the usual 3.45, but it makes enough of a difference that the car is fasted through all the gears, but turn more revs on the freeway. I would not go over 4.00 in the back, but if you want to use a 3.07 diff, you will need the CR tranny to make it worth while, but even then, I have heard that the stock diff and 5spd OD is best setup for street use.
