Strictly speaking, this is for the mye28 board, but as I'm new to that world, and over here I'm amongst friends, I feel I can share this...

So, I am the new owner of Michael R's e28 535iA. It's the first Automatic car I've had. I love to drive the stick shift usually. Anyway, I go for a really nice trip to a local micro-brewery to pick up some of my fave pale-ale. MountainGoat beer - try it, if you haven't already.

So, I get home, park the car in the drive do some chores, and figure I need to move the car out of the drive. Turn the key - nothing. Radio is fine, battery meters fine, try 20 or 30 more times - nothing. Start mild panic.

Walk away, think it through, Mike... what could it be...

All status check lights are out - that's good. All looks fine, but no start. Sit back in the chair, reflexively go to put my foot on the clutch... ahh...

Many of you are now yelling out, "Put the shift out of Drive into Park, you loser!". You'd be right. The lack of a clutch pedal reminds me that I leave my stick-shifts in gear. Others of you are yelling out "get a five speed e12 with a 3.5". I understand you passion, but I like this car too...
