The O2 light is only a reminder to check / replace the sensor.
If you have not replaced it in the last 100K it is probably due.
The light is turned on by the a switch located in a box connected to the speedometer cable.
If you go under the car up by the steering box you will see a box that the speedometer cable goes into.
There is a small button that you need to depress to reset the light.
Use a small phillips screwdriver and push all the way in until you hear a click.
this will reset it.
I believe the box mat have OXY or such labled next to the switch.
