I have a 75 that used to have the early struts. IMO, the best solution is to grab a set of struts from a later car, as well as the vented disks. they bolt on with no mods, just gotta bleed the system after. And Velo is right, tried alpina springs on the HD's up front, and the shocks are shot after 20K. So if you are going to run lowered springs, better get the SP's for sure.
