no advise on the head gasket. I've never done one. But from mileage standpoint, you still should have plenty to go. I have over 220,000 on my 528i and it is till over 90% on all cylinders. I got lucky though. I'm only the third owner. The original owner was an older woman who babied the car and put 146,000 on it. I bought it from a yuppie who put less than 5,000 over two years. I've done the rest.
