My 528i used to leak from the small cam cover plate at the back as well at one point, if that's the one you mean. If you are doing the head gasket,and you are not in a big hurry, I would do the valve stem seals as well and check out the condition of the valve train while the head was off. Ditto the injector seals and high pressure fuel lines. The only thing that slowed me up was a lack of a tool to undo the big (42mm? 44mm?) nut on the end of the camshaft, the rest is standard toolbox stuff. Don't forget to threadlock the oil rail banjo bolts on reassembley, and check the hex plugs in the ends of the rocker shafts haven't come loose.
