The '75 got all new front steering bits this weekend -- new lower arms and ball joints, new center and end links, and a new idler arm bushing. Also Grunt's bushings for the front of the stabiliser arms. Now I know why they call them "Grunts" -- it describes the noises you make whilst installing them...

Since I had everything apart, I painted the brake calipers and rotor centers and the steering arms that connect to the strut bottoms. and most of the front subframe. I also refurbished the sway bar end link hardware. Looks like new under the front of the car now.

When that was done, I installed the TEP rear tower brace/battery mount. Again, since they were out, I disassembled the spring struts, scrubbed off all the accumulated gunk and checked that all rubber was in OK shape. I didn't get the battery relocated to the trunk yet, that will take the better part of another day. I have the cable and terminal block from an e30, so I'm anticipating a nice, OEM looking install.

I just eyeballed the alignment, so it still needs professional attention, but overall the car feels much tighter. First track day of the season is Friday, I can't wait!

Tony
