My question is does it hurt the car any to run a 71 degree celsius thermostat as opposed to BMW spec 80 degree celsius. Is there any benefit to running cooler? How about stop and go traffic? I live in Northern lower Michigan if that helps any so the temps rarely go above 100F.
Also does anybody know where I might find a single sunroof cable as opposed to buying a set. I was working on the sunroof today and found the drivers side cable snapped in two (I was wondering why sunroof opened lopsided....). It seems like water got into the cable conduit and rusted. previous owner probably tried opening sunroof then SNAP!. The other side looks perfectly fine however.
