rustfree, nonrunning car, with it's own title. Downside is a place to keep it. Chances are your drive train will survive any collision that would total the car and could be swapped in.
In addition, when assessing risk, always consider that, you being a good driver of course, the risk may be borne by the other persons liability insurance covering your car.
I tend to look at collision insurance the same way as catastrophic loss insurance. The premiums are high enough that I am willing to take the risk up to $5000.
