basketweaves. The center casting on the wheel is thicker than the 20 spoke turbine OEM and my wheels came with longer wheel bolts. However, the lugs with the wheels were too long and rubbed when installed. I had to get new lug bolts that were halfway between the turbine wheel lugs and what came with the BBS. What lugs did you use.

Secondly, what offset are on the BBS wheels you have and are they 14 or 15 inch. The stock option BBS Mahles were 14 inch and the same offset as the turbines. I don't know about the 15's, but it sounds like you are running into an offset problem. If the wheels do not seem marked, take the stock wheel and the BBS and lay them face down. lay a straight edge across the back of the rim on each one. Measure from the straight edge to the hub face on each wheel. If you get a 20-30mm deeper measurement on the BBS, you have an offset problem. The wheels must be 30-40 mm offset, Which is typical of a 3 series offset. However, if the wheels are supposed to be period, that doesn't sound right because I think 3 series wheels were 4 bolt at that time (e21). When did the 3 series wheels go to 5 lug??? (e30???)
